ACT Law Society welcomes new ACAT President
The ACT Law Society congratulates Ms Mary-Therese Daniel on her appointment as President of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT).
ACT Attorney-General Shane Rattenbury MLA announced the appointment earlier today. The appointment will commence on 18 September.
Ms Daniel is a current Presidential member of the ACAT and brings more than ten years’ experience with the ACAT, initially as a non-presidential member and as a Presidential member from 2015. Ms Daniel also served as Temporary President for an extended period in 2021. Prior to joining the ACAT, Ms Daniel worked in a diverse range of legal roles in government and private practice, including roles with the Family Court of Australia, Minter Ellison, Legal Aid ACT, the ACT Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the ACT Government Solicitor.
