Naomi Reiner Gould is Senior Director, Human Rights Law and Policy, at the ACT Human Rights Commission. Her role at the Commission includes oversight of interventions in court proceedings raising human rights. Prior to working with the Commission, Naomi had many years experience working as a community lawyer and in Legal Aid, both in Australia and the USA. She has previously been on the Executive Committee of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights and is a past convenor of Amnesty International Australia’s Legal Network.

Jane McCosker (LLM (International Law), Master of Diplomacy, LLB, BA) is a Human Rights Legal Adviser at the ACT Human Rights Commission. She has wide-ranging experience in human rights law; related fields of international law, particularly international criminal and humanitarian law; and litigation, both domestic and international. Before joining the Commission in 2024, Jane practised in Europe, Australia and Africa, in roles with international criminal tribunals, non-profit organisations, law firms, a university, the Australian Government and a United Nations Human Rights Council-mandated fact-finding mission
